>> Our New Shrine: Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint Bernadette
Harkaway Hills College now has a beautiful shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes and St Bernadette. Work will still be done around the area in coming months, however we are so excited that the statues are now standing and visible for our school community to enjoy. We are looking forward to the official unveiling and blessing of the statues this Sunday 2 December at 2pm. These two statues were purchased with the money raised by our 2019 fundraisers. Thank you to our whole school community for your hard work, the shrine really belongs to all of you!
>> Blessing of our Nativity Scene
As we approach the First Sunday of Advent, the whole school gathered to set up our Nativity scene, which we have placed on the deck as a reminder to prepare for the coming of Jesus this Christmas. Thank you to Fr Tom Gibson for taking some time to bless the Nativity scene on Thursday.
>> Preparing for our Christmas Concert
Students at Harkaway Hills College have been working so hard on the creation of some props for our Christmas Concert on 6th December. They have also been preparing costumes, painting sets, practising the Christmas songs… and generally getting very excited for this special celebration to close the school year. We can’t wait to see you all there – please pray for good weather! The Year 1/2 Class have enjoyed the privilege of making some special props.
>> Our Chapel is coming along
It has been an exciting fortnight for all of us as we begin to see our much anticipated School Chapel take shape. Your continued prayers are appreciated for a smooth and safe build.
>> Congratulations to Miss Lim
A huge congratulations to Ianthe Lim on her marriage to Adrian over the weekend. The Year 3/4 Girls sang a beautiful hymn at the Nuptial Mass, which brought everyone to tears. It was a very special moment for the whole class.
